2016

In 2013 I travelled and worked in France. As a way of digesting these new experiences, I recorded my day-to-day doings in a diary, took ample photographs and drew sketches - rough and very detailed depending on how much time I had. Upon my return to my home country, South Africa, I self-published ek. frankryk. 246 dae. [me. france. 246 days.], a finely curated and colourful coming-of-age multimedia travel journal for sale to the public.

Since then, I have promoted learning French as a foreign language at more than 30 events hosted by over 10 South African high schools, universities, and institutions. Also see the book's sister-project, My France: A South African's Guide, published in collaboration with the Institut Français en Afrique du Sud (IFAS).
